Last Friday Didn’t Count

I was on vacay.  I’ve been editing ‘GoldBlueGray’ because I’ve heard that my atrocious handwriting is unreadable.  The intro’s been edited in the archive, so enjoy being able to read the comic now:

Shattered Promises

Since I’m incapable of keeping up with this blog regularly, I’ll make a deadline I can keep.  Every Friday.  Once a week shouldn’t be too hard.  For your patience, here’s two new from “Gold and Blue and Gray.”  To catch up, here’s the link to the archive if you need it: LINK

After further criticism from my friends at the Penny-Arcade forums, I’ve decided to go back through and switch much of the hand-written dialogue with similar typewriter font that I use in ‘Unicorns.’  The reason is that it’s apparently just too damn hard to read.  I enjoyed the lost feeling the reader might experience, but I do put plenty of effort into the story and would like it recognized, so I’m reluctantly changing it.  These two pages were finished before that decision.

When is the proper time to flex for a lover?  Is it before sex?  During?  Would they even notice?  I asked my mother once.  She just stood there.  Then she flexed before kicking my ass in ‘Dr. Mario.’

The world may never know.

Gold the Blue next And chapter Gray

I finally made an intermission page that I’d planned on for so long.  Between each section of Gold and Blue and Gray there will be a page of mutilated church hymns with some sort of theme on the page (this one’s pigs!!) and a weird abstract story being told.  So here’s the last page of the prologue then the intermission then the chapter 1 title page, you know, for effect.

Kama Sutra St.

Home.  Kama Sutra St.  I never thought I’d see it again.  The cold air stings my eyeballs and I wince when the ash from my cigarette burns my toes.  I shouldn’t have worn sandals on a snowy night like this.  The graveyard’s just around the corner.  I button my coat and walk into the mist.  When I get out of the mist I’ve transformed into a giant cockroach.  I always knew it would end this way…

Gloria couldn’t feel pain, you know.  He didn’t like to talk about it.  Thought people would think he was a freak.  I used to tease him about it, sure.  Should I feel bad?  I don’t.  He always looked down on me.  Even though I was rich and he was poor.  I never understood why I let it bother me.  But I was bigger than him, and I used that to my advantage.  Though, to tell the truth, we were pretty evenly matched, fighting style-wise.  I used the Dragon stance, he the Wildabeast stance.  We would pose and have a friend take polaroids, then ask the locals who they thought looked fiercer.  I always won.  Those days, they sound bad, but looking back, both of us being greased down by widowed maids who needed the money, those days weren’t so bad.  At least we had eachother.

Horror Hospital Vol 11

A cross in the hall split the walkway.

“After the third Coke machine on your left you’ve gone too far” said the fat Obstetrician.

“After the third…” said Cindy.  The wheelchair squeaked and squeaked under her.  To her left a Coke machine passed her by.  The hands on her chair’s handles were squeezed tight.  She looked up so her face was upside down to the male nurse.  He smiled.

His cock became rigid and armored like a beetle.  It tore through the back of the chair and Cindy’s collar bone.  Bending at the joint, it came backward and forced its sharp beak into her temple.  The fat Obstetrician sputtered and dropped her box of popcorn.
